Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)  by Ben Maddocks

Stupid
                   CRAZY
                                        PSYCHO
                                                                DUMB

Four words that are commonly thrown at people that have or show symptoms of ADHD.

What is ADHD?

Do I have it?

What are the symptoms of it?

Who do I go to see if I have it?

Has anyone ever told you that you were hyper?

Do you have a hard time concentrating and focusing on stuff in class or at work?

Are you always on the go?

ADHD is found in one out of every twenty people in the United States.

Here are some of the common symptoms of ADHD:
frequently misplacing things
making mistakes that shouldn't be made
forgetfulness (like, do I have homework due today?)
fidgeting
daydreaming

These symptoms occur in many scenarios like at home, or at school, or after school.

ADHD is more common in guys than girls.

It is harder to diagnose in girls, and they more often have ADD ( without the hyper part).

To find out if you have either of these disorders, you can go to your health care provider, or to a specialist.

Check this:  people with ADHD are just as smart as anyone else, and should never be put down.

They didn't get to choose to have this, so it's not their fault.
